What to Expect
Children's consultations are paced to put young patients at ease. For infants, objective hearing tests (OAE, BERA) are used; older children have visual reinforcement or play audiometry. Surgical procedures such as grommet insertion and adenotonsillectomy are performed under general anaesthesia — typically as day cases — at a child-friendly admitting hospital. Post-operative care and pain management guidance is given to parents before discharge.
