Appointment Policies

Scheduling

Appointments requested through this website are subject to availability and confirmation by our administrative team. Submitting a booking request form does not guarantee an appointment. We will contact you — by phone, WhatsApp, or email — to confirm scheduling within one business day.

Cancellations

We ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee and may affect your ability to book future appointments.

New Patients

New patients are required to complete registration forms prior to or at the time of their first appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for registration. Please bring your National ID or passport, and your insurance card if applicable.

Payment and Insurance

Payment is expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept SHA/NHIF and a range of private medical insurance plans including Jubilee Health, AAR, Britam, CIC, APA, Madison, UAP Old Mutual, and Resolution Health. Please contact our office to confirm your insurance panel is accepted before your appointment.

We also accept payment via M-Pesa, major credit and debit cards, and cash. Patients are responsible for any charges not covered by their insurance, including co-payments, excess amounts, and exclusions.

We will submit pre-authorisation requests to your insurer on your behalf; however, approval of pre-authorisation does not guarantee full payment by the insurer. Any outstanding balance remains the patient's responsibility.

Referrals

Some insurance providers require a referral letter from a general practitioner or another specialist before a consultation can be covered. It is your responsibility to obtain any required referrals. Please check with your insurer before your appointment.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of Dr. B. Mbira Gikonyo or his content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws of Kenya and international conventions. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
